Our Learn a Piece with Graham Fitch course culminates in an online performance workshop on 6th December @ 15:00 GMT. This is our last online event for the year and it will feature performances or recordings of pieces by course participants, followed by feedback, advice and encouragement from Graham for each performance.
How it works
Unlike a traditional masterclass, this workshop is tailored to the needs of each participant, emphasising supportive feedback, problem-solving and practical advice. It’s all about learning, experimenting and growing as a pianist rather than presenting polished, full performances.
Participants have the option to perform live or play a recording of their piece (or part thereof). Graham will provide feedback on their performance which might be general in nature or could focus on specific areas, problems or questions requested by the performer.

Repertoire
The event is open to pianists of all levels and the following are some of the works that may be featured:
- Robert Schumann – Mignon (Album for the Young, No. 35)
- JS Bach – Little Prelude No. 3 in D minor, BWV 935
- Beethoven – Sonata No. 8 in C minor, Op. 13 (“Pathétique”, 2nd mvt)
- JS Bach – Partita No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826
- Ludwig van Beethoven – Bagatelle in A major, Op. 136 No. 3
- Sergei Rachmaninoff – Prelude in D major, Op. 23 No. 4
- Brahms Intermezzo in B-flat minor, Op. 117 No. 2
