We hope you’ve enjoyed a peaceful Festive Season and that you’re feeling refreshed for the musical year ahead! As we begin 2026, we’re delighted to share a preview of what’s coming up in the months ahead, including new workshop topics, refreshed formats and a variety of initiatives designed to support your pianistic progress.
Up First: Who Is Afraid of a Blackout?
Our programme resumes with a practical and myth-busting workshop by Adina Mornell, focusing on performance blackouts – what they really are, why they happen and how to prevent and manage them with confidence. Adina’s “I Played It Better at Home” remains one of our most popular events to date and if you’re planning on sharing your playing with others this year then this workshop is not to be missed!
Jazz, Rhythm & More
From there, we have a varied selection of events to look forward to. These include an accessible introduction to jazz for classically trained pianists, interactive sessions on improving rhythm, performance opportunities and other practical workshops. This year’s calendar features a blend of new presenters joining the programme for the first time alongside the welcome return of several well-loved favourites.
New Look Practice Clinics & Courses
Our Practice Clinics will also be evolving based on feedback from our recent Learn a Piece with Graham Fitch course. Participants found the live components especially valuable, so we’ll now be running clinics as live events instead of pre-recorded sessions. You will still be able to submit questions and watch video feedback in your own time, but with the added option to join in real time. We’ll also be introducing clinics centred on specific topics, including technique.
Further on in the year, we will be introducing a new course on deep learning and memorisation, building on our incredibly successful learning pieces course from last year. Alongside this, we have many more initiatives in store to help you make 2026 a fulfilling and productive year of music-making!
